Get Involved

St. John the Baptist School offers many ways for both adults and children to get involved and increase a sense of belonging in both school, church and community. Please call the school directly at (920) 893-5961 if you have any questions about volunteering or learning about any of the programs.

Athletic Program Involvement

Get involved or manage elements of the Athletic Program such as coaching, uniform manager, concession scheduler or equipment manager.

Field Trip Chaperon

Provide assistance to teachers on trips outside the school.

Health Room Attendant

Provide health care to injured and ill students between 9:15 am - 12:45 pm daily in the office. This involves following first aid procedures and parent communication. Training is provided in the office.

Home and School

The Home and School Association consists of all parents or guardians of children enrolled at St. John the Baptist. A group of five parents are elected to the Executive Board to lead this group. The goal of the Association is to provide programs of special interest that will help all families to grow spiritually and educationally, as well as promote a sense of community with the school family. In addition, the Association strives to facilitate an additional line of communication between school personnel and the families within the school.

Activities that are regularly sponsored by Home and School are the Open House, Family Halloween Party, Christmas gifts for school staff, financial assistance for classroom projects for the Church Auction, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, the election of new officers at the Spring Concert, and the 8th Grade Graduation Reception. A newsletter is regularly sent to all families to provide them with pertinent info, as well as upcoming school events. Funds to support these Home and School activities are raised through the yearly collection of dues from all families enrolled at St. John the Baptist school, as well as profits raised working at an annual Fish Fry and Road America.

Want to become more involved in Home and School Association?
• Bring your family to a Home and School sponsored activity
• Suggest and help plan an activity you would like Home and School to sponsor
• Help work at the Fish Fry, or bring in a baked dessert or two for the night
• Help work at Road America
• Bring in a baked goodie for a pot luck
• Chaperone the Middle School Dance
• Volunteer to be on the Executive Board

Library Assistant

Assistant the librarian in maintaining the library and in helping students using the library.

Lunch Room Assistant

Supervise and provide assistance during lunch period in cafeteria for all grades from 11:20 am to 12:45 pm.

Playground Supervisor

Supervise playground area and provide a safe environment for all students during lunchtime from 11:30 am - 12:45 pm daily.

Mentoring Program

Mentor new families who are new to our school, church and city. Help them adjust to a new community.

Room Coordinator

Organize field trips/class parties

Scout Leader

Get involved in children learning about God, the environment, survival techniques, crafts, camping. Be a Boy Scout or Girl Scout leader.
