Student InvolvementBoy Scouts Adult InvolvementAthletic Program Involvement Athletic Program InvolvementGet involved or manage elements of the Athletic Program such as coaching, uniform manager, concession scheduler or equipment manager. Field Trip ChaperonProvide assistance to teachers on trips outside the school. Health Room AttendantProvide health care to injured and ill students between 9:15 am - 12:45 pm daily in the office. This involves following first aid procedures and parent communication. Training is provided in the office. Home and SchoolThe Home and School Association consists of all parents or guardians of children enrolled at St. John the Baptist. A group of five parents are elected to the Executive Board to lead this group. The goal of the Association is to provide programs of special interest that will help all families to grow spiritually and educationally, as well as promote a sense of community with the school family. In addition, the Association strives to facilitate an additional line of communication between school personnel and the families within the school. School NewslettersSJB Jag-Wire (May) Activities that are regularly sponsored by Home and School are the Open House, Family Halloween Party, Christmas gifts for school staff, financial assistance for classroom projects for the Church Auction, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, the election of new officers at the Spring Concert, and the 8th Grade Graduation Reception. A newsletter is regularly sent to all families to provide them with pertinent info, as well as upcoming school events. Funds to support these Home and School activities are raised through the yearly collection of dues from all families enrolled at St. John the Baptist school, as well as profits raised working at an annual Fish Fry and Road America. Lunch Room AssistantSupervise and provide assistance during lunch period in cafeteria for all grades from 11:20 am to 12:45 pm. Playground SupervisorSupervise playground area and provide a safe environment for all students during lunchtime from 11:30 am - 12:45 pm daily. Mentoring ProgramMentor new families who are new to our school, church and city. Help them adjust to a new community. Room CoordinatorOrganize field trips/class parties Scout LeaderGet involved in children learning about God, the environment, survival techniques, crafts, camping. Be a Boy Scout or Girl Scout leader.
